Chapter 1989 - 1978: The Girl Evil Dragon
Chapter 1989 - 1978: The Girl Evil Dragon
If the switch is turned on, the Light of Life will be driven by the crystal and automatically spread out in all directions. If it's turned off, the Light of Life will return the same way it came.
"In that case, doesn't this mean I can remote control it?"
Ning Fan had originally thought that from now on he'd have to stay glued to this Black Dragon's side.
After all, if it went beyond a certain range, the spiritual power would automatically return.
But now it seemed there was no need to go through all that trouble in the future.
"Let's test it first."
With a thought, Ning Fan made the Light of Life start drifting out again.
This time he didn't block it, letting the multicolored light float farther and farther away.
Before long, Ning Fan sensed the Black Dragon sending out a powerful spiritual fluctuation.
"The punishment's starting again!"
Thinking of that, Ning Fan hurriedly returned to the local body, and immediately heard a sharp cry like a yellow oriole.
"A scream? What the hell?"
Ning Fan opened his eyes and was instantly shocked by the scene before him.
All he saw was a field of blinding white. Only after looking carefully did he realize it was a long-haired girl with a slim figure, her hair hanging to her waist.
The most shocking thing was that this girl was completely naked, not a single scrap of clothing on her body.
At this moment the girl was doing something totally unbefitting her identity, rolling all over the ground like a loach, extremely indecent.
She looked like a shrew throwing a tantrum, or a lunatic having an episode.
But with her delicate features, flawless white skin, and clear, pleasant cries,
at a glance there was a strange tragic beauty to it, making one feel an inexplicable sense of guilt, as if she were something pitiful you'd wronged.
As the one responsible, Ning Fan felt like he'd just committed some unforgivable crime.
When he came back to himself, he hurriedly shut off the "switch" at the crystal.
The girl stopped rolling around. Even though she was covered in dust, it still couldn't hide the jade-like luster of her skin.
After a soft, turning moan, the flushed girl exhaled a breath fragrant as orchids and said, "It finally ended."
Seeing this, Ning Fan scratched his head awkwardly, feeling something was definitely off.
By now the girl had stood up and come to stand before Ning Fan, spinning in place as she said, "How does my body look to you?"
Ning Fan subconsciously glanced over, and then locked the image into his mind forever.
"Ah. Why are you bleeding?"
The girl was at a complete loss, not knowing what to do, and could only keep saying, "You absolutely must not die!"
In the middle of his embarrassment, Ning Fan's face darkened as he muttered, "It's just a nosebleed, I'm not gonna die."
"That's good. I'm still waiting for you to help me recover."
The girl let out a sigh of relief.
"Crap!"
Ning Fan felt another rush of heat surge out of his nostrils. "This new body is way too fragile."
Seeing the girl's Black-Pearl-like big eyes turn toward him, Ning Fan suddenly felt flustered for no reason and blurted out something useless, "You're female?"
It had never occurred to Ning Fan that the Black Dragon would turn out to be a young maiden.
In his imagination, once the Black Dragon took human form, it would either be a chubby little brat with a tiger head and tiger brain, or a sickly stick-thin weakling.
Only those two types of people fit his mental image of a Black Dragon.
But reality was the complete opposite.
Now, faced with the girl formed from the Black Dragon's Shapeshifting Technique, Ning Fan felt uncomfortable all over.
"Of course. I'm a female dragon."
As she spoke, the girl seemed to want to double-check, lifting her gaze from her waist and looking down.
Seeing that, Ning Fan's nostrils turned into high-pressure water cannons, spraying a blood column more than ten meters away.
"Are you hurt?"
The girl looked at Ning Fan somewhat guiltily. Just now she'd thought about ambushing him with Divine Power, but while she was still hesitating, that burning sensation had appeared again.
With his eyes tightly shut, Ning Fan urged, "I'm not. Just hurry up and find something to wear."
If this were any other time, with Ning Fan's thick skin, how could he be embarrassed? Faced with an opportunity like this, he'd definitely feast his eyes, eat some "ice cream," and maybe even give a review on her figure.
But every time he looked at that pure, flawless face and those clear, bright eyes, Ning Fan felt a sense of guilt, like every extra glance was a blasphemy, making him feel unnatural.
Ning Fan had no idea that this sense of unnaturalness was caused by the influence of her Divinity.
The Black Dragon was the daughter of the Dragon King, and after igniting Divine Fire she'd become a Demigod. Though not yet a true member of the Divine Spirits, she had already nurtured Divinity within her.
If there truly existed something perfect in this world, it would definitely be the Heavenly Dao.
Because the Heavenly Dao encompasses everything in existence—visible, invisible, all-inclusive.
The more one comprehends of the Heavenly Dao, the closer the individual approaches perfection.
The Western Divine Spirits are the same.
Their understanding of the Rules birthed the Divine Spirits and set them on the path toward perfection.
"Perfect-ification" is Divinity; it can be the intangible side of everything: temperament, emotions, spirit, and so on.
Ning Fan's feelings of inferiority before the girl were a form of submission to "perfection."
Ning Fan's kindness did not win the girl's approval. Instead, she said unhappily, "There's no need to wear clothes. They're not as tough as my skin anyway. Our Dragon Clan never wears Battle Armor."
Ning Fan didn't know where the sudden fire in his chest came from, but he roared back, "You think clothes are Battle Armor? Clothes are for covering your body, so you don't expose yourself!"
"But… aren't you also not wearing anything?"
As she spoke, the girl pointed at Ning Fan, then stared at him up and down in curiosity.
The Dragon Clan are the race that least likes taking on human form.
Because human bodies are too fragile, and in dragon form it's much easier to store power.
So most of the Dragon Clan, aside from learning the Shapeshifting Technique and using this Transformation Technique once, will then shelve it indefinitely.
This girl, who'd only lived a little over eighteen thousand years, had spent most of her time sleeping. Her interactions with humans were basically nonexistent, so of course she didn't understand human morality.
"What!"
Ning Fan let out a shrill scream, suddenly feeling a chill, then turned into a wisp of green smoke and vanished.
The girl could only stare forward in confusion. Dust was flying, rubble was scattering, and Ning Fan was bent over, searching for something.
"The buildings may have collapsed, but luckily the goods are still here."
Coming to where the shopping street had been in his memory, Ning Fan rummaged through the rubble, and before long dug out two robes.
Without a second thought, Ning Fan threw one on over himself.
"My lifetime of reputation…"
Just imagining himself walking around here bare-ass naked made Ning Fan so ashamed he wanted to kill himself.
Ning Fan had truly never considered this sort of problem.
He couldn't feel it at all, and most of the time his attention had been focused on the Black Dragon, leaving him no time to worry about his own body.
Thinking about it, it made sense. His flesh had vaporized in an instant; there was no way his clothes could've survived.
It was just that at the time, Ning Fan's attention had been completely focused on this new body.
"So what if I was exposed. I'm a grown man, what's there to be afraid of? Besides, it's not like I was the only one."
