Chapter 1969 - 1958: A Lump of Mixture
Chapter 1969 - 1958: A Lump of Mixture
Ning Fan shook his head, then held up the brown meatball and placed it into the grave hole. Just as he was dispersing his power, he discovered that the two colorful threads were still connected to the Black Dragon's corpse."What's happening here?"
The confusion in Ning Fan's eyes flashed by, then his expression changed to one of urgency.
"What the hell is going on here?"
Ning Fan shouted uncontrollably, as nothing is more infuriating than being unable to control one's own body.
That's right! The power within Ning Fan was out of control again.
At this moment, Ning Fan only felt as if there was a waterfall of power inside him, cascading down with colorful light points pouring out madly.
And the direction they're pouring towards...
Ning Fan looked with displeasure at the Black Dragon in the pit.
The light points pouring out of his body were slowly flowing into the Black Dragon along those two colorful threads.
"So that's how it is."
Ning Fan couldn't help but show a bitter smile. Neither the power inside him nor the two colorful threads outside were following his command.
"Damn it, even in death you can't stay still!"
Ning Fan looked at the Black Dragon with murderous intent. Despite his hatred, he still felt a tinge of wariness, "Could it be that this guy isn't dead and is still planning to trap me?"
Ning Fan's expression changed. This wasn't impossible, after all, it's a creature from the Divine Realm, having a life-saving trump card wouldn't be surprising.
"Then I'll make you die again."
Anticipating the potential trap, a flash of viciousness appeared in Ning Fan's eyes as he launched another attack.
A spear shining with colorful light hit the brown sphere accurately, but then vanished without a trace, as if sinking into the sea.
"No good! It's like I'm helping it."
The attack didn't cause any harm; instead, it combined with the two colorful threads, which was anything but a good sign.
Suppressing the gut-churning feeling within, Ning Fan delivered a supersonic punch, accompanied by a sharp whistling sound, slamming fiercely into the meatball.
Encountering no resistance, Ning Fan's arm easily sank into the meatball up to the shoulder.
But aside from creating a fist-sized hole, his attack seemed to have no effect.
Ning Fan tried using the light points in his body, converting them into energy attacks in place of Spiritual Energy.
But the result was the same as before; the cell-like light points vanished without a trace.
"Energy attacks seem ineffective."
Ning Fan didn't give up, spreading the fingers of his left hand, he pulled at the mixture.
Despite the slick and greasy sensation, Ning Fan grabbed with force, as if trying to tear a piece of flesh away.
But seeing the mixture stretch into a straight line, Ning Fan's jaw nearly dropped in astonishment.
With his current strength, tearing apart fierce beasts or even steel plates would be as easy as ripping paper.
But now, he could only elongate and deform the mixture, without a hint of rupture.
Letting go, the stretched soft flesh retracted, merging back into the mixture, indistinguishable from how it was before.
After lifting his right arm, the previous hole disappeared in its wriggling motion.
"This thing's as stretchy as playdough. Damn good resilience."
In subsequent experiments, Ning Fan used all sorts of methods but couldn't harm the mixture, failing to cut off a piece of flesh from it.
He even struck it a hundred times in an instant, smashing the round mixture into a pancake shape.
Yet within seconds, it reverted to its original form, as if with memory functionality.
"It's truly indestructible."
Faced with the unyielding mixture, Ning Fan was at a loss, physical attacks ineffective and energy attacks serving no purpose.
There was indeed one method Ning Fan hadn't tried, though it remained merely a thought; even if the Black Dragon were to resurrect in the next second, he wouldn't use it.
The method was to eat it, perhaps devouring it would resolve everything.
Ning Fan even had a sudden flash of inspiration, imagining how to eat it by stretching this blob of playdough into noodles, then slowly swallowing it.
But as he kept thinking about it, Ning Fan was determined to engage in another battle with the Black Dragon rather than use such a disgusting method, even if it actually worked.
"Even if you come back alive, what can you do to me?"
Ning Fan's gaze turned cold as he clenched his right fist, producing the sound of a balloon bursting.
The strength of this new body already allowed him to crush the air with a mere grasp, and this was where his trump card lay.
"I want to see what tricks you're up to."
Ning Fan extended his spiritual power over, and only then did he realize the Black Dragon seemed to have truly become a ball of flesh.
Inside it, there were no organs or bones.
It was just as Ning Fan had previously described it, a mere mixture.
After all, being a mythical creature, the Black Dragon had high defenses; parts like scales and bones didn't instantly vaporize in the flames, leaving behind this residue.
If the inferno hadn't focused its attack on Ning Fan, this lump of mixture would have been burned to ashes eventually.
At this moment, the two colorful threads acted like conduits, with the "Milky Way" pouring out from Ning Fan's body continuously through these conduits into the meatball, merging within it.
The spear that had seemingly sunk and vanished earlier, and the bright point preparing to explode internally, were all gathering at this point.
Unable to stop the outflow of the "Milky Way," Ning Fan could only let things take their natural course.
Watching as the "Milky Way" shrank bit by bit, Ning Fan's heart bled; the energy from devouring the forbidden spell had been hard-earned, now it was benefiting a lump of mixture, driving him to despair.
As the colorful bright points continued to converge, the light within the mixture grew ever brighter, even becoming visible through the brown outer wall.
Before long, the brilliant point turned into a colorful, fist-sized diamond crystal.
And it seemed there was something rapidly moving within the crystal.
Unfortunately, the interference in vision was too severe for Ning Fan to discern anything.
"A pure energy crystal."
Seeing this, Ning Fan was exceptionally distressed.
This was energy originating from his own body, now bearing fruit within another's body, making his heart ache unimaginably.
"Damn it. This is mine."
Growing increasingly infuriated, Ning Fan decided to go all in, reaching into the mixture to retrieve the crystal, intending to reclaim what was rightfully his.
As for whether this would trigger any terrible consequences, Ning Fan had immense confidence in his new body.
"I've only got this skin left anyway, what am I afraid of?"
At this moment, Ning Fan's hands were already on the crystal, just about to pull it out, when he felt an immense suction force.
The source of the suction was the crystal itself, naturally targeting Ning Fan.
Such was the magnitude of the suction that it seemed his soul body was being drawn in.
Thankfully, it was merely a sensation, but the disappearing power was real.
The "Milky Way" roared mightily as it surged towards the sea, having no attachment to its owner.
Unable to break free from this suction, Ning Fan seemed resigned to his fate, even managing to rationalize the bizarre phenomenon.
